I am a freelance creative director, motion designer, editor and visual researcher based in London.

I have over fifteen years experience working in the design industry, having had full time positions at INTRO and Why Not Associates before going freelance in 2013. In this time I have made work for a broad range of clients, creating and designing content across a wide range of sectors and contexts including large scale live events and projection mapping; branding and motion language development; video creation and editing; titles for film and television; and promotional trailers for cinema, web and socials.

I work predominantly across the arts and visual cultures sectors, and balance freelance design work with my own visual art practice. This means I have a unique perspective and references to draw upon for design, direction and visual research projects.

Clients and collaborators include: Tinloof, Somerset House, The Photographers’ Gallery, Kate Dawkins Studio, BBC, Channel 4, Tate Gallery, Communion Studio, Uncommon, Mother Design, Wolff Olins, Why Not Associates, Yoko Ono and Wallpaper*

Somerset HouseHoly Pop! I Adore YouEditing

 Holy Pop! I Adore You
 Client: Somerset House

Somerset House brought me in to edit the short documentary accompanying the Holy Pop! exhibition. Through a series of intimate portraits, I Adore You explores the relationship between spirituality and popular culture, asking what contemporary pop shrines and relics look like, and what role they play in our inner lives.

Photographer Alice Hawkins channels bravery, strength and femininity through her Dolly Parton collection, and the act of stepping into her shoes. Musician Warren Ellis, of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, recalls the 1999 concert where he saw Nina Simone perform live, and the moments before he followed his impulse to take home a piece of chewed gum that she left on the piano, crediting his successes and creativity to this ‘hair of christ’, his holy relic. Nina Durban and Athen Kardashian explore the power of everyday objects, and how they are able to evoke memories and stories. We follow them prop hunting on Ilford Lane, and carefully arranging the items that make up one of their shrine sculptures.  Emma Hart considers herself to be completely ordinary, but in the corner of her living room behind closed doors sits years of memories and stories, manifested into her collection of Prince ephemera and memorabilia, built piece by piece throughout her life.
